Material Specifications and Longevity

• Traffolyte (Phenolic Laminate): The gold standard for industrial identification. This multi-layered material reveals a contrasting core colour when engraved, creating permanent text that cannot be rubbed away or smudged.
• Thickness and Rigidity: Available in 1.5mm (1/16″) or 3.0mm (1/8″) thicknesses. These rigid plates are heat-resistant and non-conductive, making them the preferred choice for electrical equipment and switchgear.
• Technical Properties: Our Traffolyte is resistant to common industrial chemicals, oils, and greases. This ensures the integrity of your compliance data even in punishing plant room environments.
• Alternative Metals: In certain extreme environments where high-pressure laminates are not suitable, we also offer industrial engraving on metal. These include Stainless Steel and Anodised Aluminium, which can be mechanically engraved or chemically etched for maximum durability.

Fixings and Installation

A compliance plate is only effective if it remains securely attached to the asset. We provide various fixing methods to ensure a permanent fit:

• Mechanical Fixing: Pre-drilled holes can be provided for secure attachment using rivets or screws, ensuring the plate cannot be easily removed.
• Industrial Adhesive: We can supply plates with high-strength, 3M industrial adhesive backing for application to flat, clean surfaces where drilling is not an option.
